Driving around London is, most of the time, a real challenge. Even if everyone were to use the public transport, it would still be tedious to find your way around because of the weird roads. However, if you do like a challenge it would be good to rent a car. It is also good to see all the sights and villages that are around the outskirts of London. When it comes to the prices for London car rental there is always a lot of variation. This means that you can find cheap cars for rent but you can also find expensive ones, should you want to drive around London like a celebrity. However, the price will always depend on different factors. For example, the pick-up and drop-off locations represent some important factors that influence the price. In central London everything is more expensive, even car rental, and if you go into the rich boroughs of south-west London you may find the prices sky rocket. If you can, choose a pick-up and drop-off point outside central London.

The most important benefit is that car rental companies can be found in every airport. The thing is, airport car rentals have a reputation for overcharging their clients. It is therefore recommended to take a train and pick up your car from another location.

If you want to rent a car in London, you should also be wary of the congestion charge. The congestion charge is a toll that is paid by every car that passes through central London. This charge is pretty expensive, so before you rent a car make sure that you budget for this too. Currently, the congestion charge is £8 per day.
